Website Design | Summer 2012
This museum, located in Vicksburg, MI, is the only river boat museum in the United States with a dry docked riverboat. It's home to the fully restored, dry docked Mighty M/V Mississippi IV. Fusioncorp Design's role in their opening was spreading the word through a CMS website design as well as designing touch-screen kiosks for the museum, making it fully interactive.
The project began in 1992 with the authorization of the Water Resources Development Act. The 4-level riverboat was decommissioned in 1993, transported to the museum site and dry docked in September of 2007. The Smithsonian Museum, the Department of the Interior, and the National Park Service collaborated on different efforts to get the museum project underway. We've helped by giving them an online presence as well as giving museum visitors an interactive experience.
